Acting Musical Director – Conor O’Leary
Conor O’Leary first joined the choir as a chorister in 2015 and was appointed as Assistant Musical Director three years ago. Since then, Conor has developed into a commanding presence and has led the choir in a number of tours and concerts. Conor has introduced his own choices into the repertoire including his own arrangement of Yma o Hyd; he also brings the added advantage of being an excellent soloist!
In addition to his role with Beaufort, Conor is also also assisting and conducting several other choirs.
Accompanist – Carolyn Selfe
Accompanist Carolyn Selfe only joined Beaufort in 2022 but is already a vital part of our music team. She joined her late father, Ron Farr, as joint accompanist with Cwm Male Choir in 2001 – at that time the only father/daughter accompanist partnership. Ron retired after 60 years with Cwm and Carolyn took on the full- time position – coincidentally with Craig James as Deputy Musical Director. She also accompanied Abertillery Orpheus Choir at the Lorient Interceltique Festival in France in 2017.
Carolyn has conquered the challenging repertoire and is firmly part of the choir family and plays an essential part in generating the Beaufort sound!
